Tribute to the People of London: St Pauls Cathedral

Where: Outside St Paul’s Cathedral

What:  Memorial to the Londoners who died in the Blitz.  The memorial has large, gilded letters around the side and a spiral on the top with a quote from Sir Edward Marsh which featured in Churchill’s book ‘The Second World War.’


Side: Remember before God the people of London 1939 — 1945.

Top: In war, resolution, in defeat, defiance, in victory, magnanimity, in peace, goodwill.
